# API overview

## Built-in modules

Node modules resolve with or without the `node:` prefix. Each page links the upstream documentation, lists
differences, and ends with a generated reference: exports, anything not implemented, and suite results.

### `elide:` aliases

`elide:X` returns the same module object as `node:X`. There is no `elide:compression`; use `node:zlib` or
`CompressionStream`.
