# Component versions

> Versions configured for Elide's bundled compilers, runtime components and optional tools, generated from its dependency and toolchain pins.

<!-- Generated by make docs-sync-versions; edit scripts/component-versions.mts. -->

This table describes the source configuration for Elide **1.6.3**. Custom builds and optional components can differ; check your installed binary below.

This version is in development. Its component pins can change before release.

## Configured components

| Component | Version | Scope |
| --- | --- | --- |
| GraalVM / Truffle | `25.5.5-elide.24` | Runtime libraries and Native Image toolchain; GraalJS, GraalPy and GraalWasm share this fork version. |
| Java / JDK | `25` | Managed JDK major, not an installed patch-version measurement. |
| Kotlin | `2.5.0-Beta2` | Embedded compiler and standard library. |
| LLVM / Clang | `23.x` | Major required by the native toolchain integration; no patch version is inferred. |
| Elide native toolchain | `2026.11.1` | Pinned bundle containing the native compiler, linker and libraries. |
| Pkl | `0.33.0-elide.1-alpha.1` | Embedded configuration evaluator. |
| Maven core | `4.0.0-rc-7` | Embedded Maven libraries. |
| JUnit Jupiter / Platform | `6.1.3` | Default Jupiter and Platform dependencies for JVM tests. |

## Manifest target declarations

These values describe what the manifest schema accepts, not a language-conformance guarantee. The selected compiler determines which targets it can compile. The ECMAScript setting is a schema declaration; it does not establish the running engine's enabled edition. See [Compatibility](https://elide.help/docs/compatibility) for measured API support.

| Setting | Accepted values |
| --- | --- |
| `javascript.ecma` | `2015`–`2025`, `stable`, `latest`; default: `stable` |
| `kotlin.compilerOptions.languageVersion` / `apiVersion` | `latest`, `stable`, `auto`, `1.9`, `2.0`, `2.1`, `2.2`, `2.3`, `2.4`, `2.5`. Other strings are also accepted by the schema. |
| `kotlin.compilerOptions.jvmTarget` | `8`–`29`, `1.8`, `1.9`, `latest`, `stable`, `auto` |

## Check your installation

Use the binary's own reports for its installed languages and exact compiler versions. [Python](https://elide.help/docs/python-toolchain) is optional; [native tools](https://elide.help/docs/toolchain/native/cc) depend on platform and build options.

```bash
elide --version
elide info
elide java -- --version
elide kotlinc -- -version
```
